The Day the Pig Fell Into the Well (Hong Sang-soo, 1996) I can’t really say I’ve truly “seen” this film, as the subs on the copy I watched were so inferior that I had trouble following the story (already complex and elliptical in itself), but this is a gem of garbled translation. It sounds poetic and existentially meaningful taken out of context, and it would also make a pretentiously great album title.
