I wrote about Leos Carax back in October in an essay about his film Pola X, which is my favorite of his works (though I obviously haven’t seen Holy Motors yet).
Also, this scene from Claire Denis’ Beau Travail (warning: it’s the film’s final shot) with Denis Lavant is probably one of my 10 favorite scenes from any movie and a good reminder that Lavant is one of the best actors alive:
